3. Add weights
Try this in the Narellan Pools’ Eden It might sound crazy, but taking your hand weights into the pool is a great idea using foam dumbbells or paddles. The water will add extra resistance as you perform your bicep curls, making for an intense workout.
4. Wall push off
Great in the Narellan Pools’ Rockpool
Push off the wall with your legs, lying on your back, then use your abdominal muscles to flip back onto your stomach and swim into the wall. Repeat for 10 repetitions. Great workout for your legs and abs!
5. Walk through water
Perfect for the Narellan Pools’ Symphony
Don’t just walk, march! Bring your knees up high with each step and swing your arms to propel you. Draw your bellybutton in to ensure your abdominal muscles are enjoying the workout as much as your thighs.
In the shallow end, try lunges! Step forward with one leg and bend your knee to a 90 degree angle. Keep your hands at your sides, straighten your forward leg and then lunge forward with the opposite leg.
