Our Philanthropic Purpose is “We fund and lead education and support programs for Aussie women and children.” We believe if everyone shared the philosophy of giving back, the world would be a better place.
We believe although we are ‘the lucky country’, there are so many people struggling in every community. It’s about our privilege as people ‘who have’ to give to those who ‘have not’. To make a difference to people less fortunate, to create the foundations for growth not only now but for generations to come.
Narellan Pools’ commitment to remaining ethical whilst contributing to economic development and improving the quality of life of communities they operate in is an absolute focus and passion. The business has been recognised as a franchisor and manufacturer for its work in social responsibility.
Below are the two core charities we support at a Head Office level:
Narellan Pools is the proud supporter of Project Strive, a powerful initiative that focuses on girls aged 12-16 years old living in the suburb of Warwick Farm, which is one of the most disadvantaged communities in Australia. Project Strive equips the girls with knowledge and life skills to make informed and better life choices. Narellan Pools supports this initiative by funding Strive, providing coaching and mentoring, donations of food, clothing and toys and activities and education support to the girls.
Narellan Pools works with the women on other projects including their Business Incubator program. Debb Meyer also provides strategic leadership as a board member of the Liverpool Neighbourhood Connections.
Narellan Pools is proud to fund one of the state-of-the-art studio apartments at Ronald McDonald House Greater Western Sydney. Ronald McDonald House is committed to keeping families close by providing a warm and welcoming home away from home for seriously ill children and their families.
Our Head Office team and local franchisee Teams are actively engaged in the charity, including participating in Ronald McDonald House charity events and “Meals from the Heart”, where the Team takes over the kitchen and cooks a meal for the families staying in the house.
The Narellan Pools Philanthropic purpose extends throughout our Franchise Community. We have incredible philanthropic leaders within our franchise community who are making an inspirational difference to their local charities.
Franchisees and their Team’s sponsor rooms and cook meals at Ronald McDonald House around the country, donate pools to “Give me 5 For Kids” to raise important funds for kids with cancer, fund programs for indigenous women, fund and lead inclusive sports programs for children with special needs, raise money for SIDS and KIDS, fund Surf Life Saving Clubs and South Australian “Backpacks for SA Kids” being placed in foster care, just to highlight a few.
Veteran Franchisees and the original philanthropic leaders, Danny and Fiona Harvey are in the 14th year of supporting the Illawarra Camp Convoy where they have helped raised millions of dollars for Camp Quality. Their children Kye and Kalara have been involved since they were very little, now Kye can drive a truck in the convoy. Not only are we doing amazing things giving back to our communities, we are raising philanthropists of the future!
We are so proud of the work every member of the Narellan Pools Community does to impact and change the lives of Australians. It is easy to cut a cheque, but what makes us different, is our ability to truly engage with each charity providing knowledge and expertise which is just as, if not more important than money.
