The Narellan Fibreglass Installation Process From Start to Finish
Mar 6, 2023

One of the great benefits of owning and installing a fibreglass pool is it comes to your door pre-fabricated. Therefore, once installation begins, the process proceeds quickly, ensuring you’ll be able to enjoy your new pool before you know it!

Once you’re ready to choose your fibreglass pool, the process can begin. We’ve outlined a Five-Step process to help you understand what to expect. These steps ensure the installation is seamless.

Our Easy Five-Step Process

  • Conception
At your first consultation, you’ll have an idea of the types of pool you want for your backyard. The first step is discussing what you’d like with one of our qualified Narellan Pools swimming pool builders. They will work closely with you to help plan, design, and scope out your backyard oasis, ensuring that the pool design and dimensions will fit with your design goals and integrate into your backyard. The planning doesn’t stop at the pool. Your builder will also help you incorporate pool fencing as well as map out landscaping details. Most importantly, your builder will ensure that the necessary approvals are obtained before the building begins, so you won’t have to.
  • Excavation
Once all the plans have been reviewed and approved, both by yourself and the necessary local officials, the builder will begin the excavation process. This process involves removing the earth and prepping the area for your inground fibreglass pool so that your backyard is ready for installation when the shell is delivered.
  • Installation
After the excavation is complete, your pool will arrive prefabricated on a truck and will be placed in the ground. This typically involves positioning the shell into the excavated area in the backyard using a crane. Once the shell has been placed into the ground and backfilled, your builder will connect the pool’s plumbing and filtration equipment. They’ll also test it to ensure everything is working properly and as expected.
  • Adding the Structural Beam
The final portion of the installation process involves laying down a structural pool beam (bond beam) on top of the pool edges. The beam is a necessary part of the installation as it ensures the pool will remain safely placed in the ground without popping up over time.
  • The Handover
Once the installation is complete and the structural beam is in place, your Narellan Pools builder will do a full handover of your fibreglass swimming pool. Here they will ensure you have all the documentation needed for your swimming pool and also take the time to answer any questions you may have about your new Narellan Pool.

After that, there’s just one thing left to do – enjoy your pool!
