Use the pool ledge to rest your arms and then cycle your legs. Great for your abs on land, when taking this exercise to water the strength required to keep you from floating away adds an extra benefit for your core, shoulders, and legs. Cycle for 30 seconds 5 times.
Ideal for the Narellan Pools’ Serene
On the pool ledge, bring your legs together and straight out in front of you. Then, raise them up as high as you can and hold them for 30 seconds. Repeat 10 times.
Try this in the Narellan Pools’ Eden
It might sound crazy, but taking your hand weights into the pool is a great idea. Using foam dumbbells or paddles, the water will add extra resistance as you perform your bicep curls, making for an intense workout.
Great in the Narellan Pools’ Rockpool
Lying on your back, push off the wall with your legs, then use your abdominal muscles to flip back onto your stomach and swim into the wall. Repeat for 10 repetitions. This is a great workout for your legs and abs!
Perfect for the Narellan Pools’ Symphony
Don’t just walk, march! Bring your knees up high with each step and swing your arms to propel you. Draw your belly button in to ensure your abdominal muscles are enjoying the workout as much as your thighs.
In the shallow end, try lunges! Step forward with one leg and bend your knee to a 90-degree angle. Keep your hands at your sides, straighten your forward leg, and then lunge forward with the opposite leg.
